THE THINGS I CAN'T HELP BUT BUY AGAIN… AND AGAIN
Among the many, many things I love, these are the basics I quite literally cannot seem to live without.
I am a seeker, through and through. No matter where I go or what I find, I am always driven by the thought that there might be something even better out there.
Every now and then, however, I come across something that puts an end to all my searching. Something that feels so perfectly right that I, very unlike myself, decide to stick with it. And since my existence is all about sharing, who am I not to let you in on my finds — in what is most definitely not the prettiest newsletter I have ever sent, but maybe the most useful one.
MEN’S MERINO SWEATER
by Uniqlo
There’s no living without this one. No matter where I go, no matter what I do, my Uniqlo Men’s Merino Sweater is with me. Go for a walk? Merino. Head to the office? Merino. Board a plane? Merino. Go skiing? Merino. Chill at home? Merino. Attend a wintery cocktail? Merino. You get the idea.
This is a jumper that’s as casual as it is elegant, is warm but not too warm, is wrinkle-resistant, is lightweight enough for every suitcase, and even doubles as a scarf if that’s what you’re in the mood for. In my humble opinion, it is the ultimate wardrobe staple, my personal ride-or-die in textile. It is love. For life. Just make sure you hand wash.
BROW FREEZE GEL
by Anastasia Beverly Hills
Brow gel in my 40s is what mascara was in my teens: the thing I believe makes my face look halfway decent — or more decent than I do without it, anyway. And while I usually avoid the best of cheap types of Google search — if it isn’t worth paying for, do you really need it? — in this particular case, it made me strike gold. Out of the many, many brow gels I have tried, the Brow Freeze Gel by Anastasia Beverly Hills is the one I won’t ever part with again. Strong hold, sleek packaging, good price — ding, ding, ding, jackpot! And just like that, my search has come to an end.
